ACLS PROVIDER

ACLS Prerequisites: Current Healthcare Provider CPR Card. Today's ACLS Provider Course is not designed as a complete course in rhythm recognition or pharmacology.  The new guidelines only review this material as it relates to each of the 10 cases.  You must come to the provider course with the ability to interpret basic rhythms and understand the use of pharmacology as it relates to ACLS.  We administer a six question rhythm test at the beginning of class to test your knowledge.  You must pass this test to continue with the course. Note: If the student is not comfortable with rhythm recognition, we recommend first taking our ACLS Prep course.

Course Overview: Our course  involves multiple learning activities; including instructor-led discussions, instructor-led skills practice and course evaluation.   During the 2 days of training, students learn and practice the skills of ACLS.  Each lecture is followed by immediate skills practice to reinforce student learning.  Students spend a considerable portion of their time in the learning lab, working as a team, providing patient care to the human patient simulator.

We have constructed 28 case scenarios that the students practice to reinforce the 10 ACLS cases.   Each scenario is designed to enhance the knowledge objectives of ACLS and is presented in real time.  We lecture and then the students practice.  Students are assigned to different team positions and they must learn and become proficient at each.  Students rotate through the different positions throughout the 20 hours of training.

ACLS PREP COURSE

We have a course we offer twice each month called the ACLS Prep Class.  During this four hour course, you will learn how to interpret 16 basic rhythms, both static strips as well as dynamic presentation.  In addition, you will review pharmacology as it relates to ACLS patient care.  We also spend time in the learning lab covering equipment we will be using during the ACLS Providers course.  The cost for this training is just $40.

ACLS RECERT

Course Overview: Our Master Train Advanced Cardiac Life Support with Advanced Airway Skills (ACLS) recertification course involves multiple learning activities.  We begin the day with a welcome and continental breakfast.
