How do I sign up for a MasterTrain course?

Before signing up students, we prefer to have a one-on-one dialog with each student, hand-tailoring their course curricula, and making sure the respective student has completed any necessary prerequisites. Simply give us a call!

What is required for course Certification?

MasterTrain offers Certification in ACLS Recertification and Basic ECG, with requirements posted on each respective page. Additionally, as a valued American Heart Association® partner, students who complete AHA eLearning website via our MasterTrain website (Coming Soon!) will be able to make an appointment to complete their AHA course at our MasterTrain headquarters, and receive their AHA Certificate.

What is the difference between Certification and Accreditation?

Healthcare job applicants are often required to provide proof of Certification in a variety of lifesaving techniques. This shows that you have competence in particular area of expertise. Accreditation means that, according to the respective governing authority, you have also completed the requirements showing competence in the respective area of expertise, and have additionally earned a specific number of credits. If you were to formally continue your education at a local Community College or University, you would likely be able to transfer these credits, and apply them toward your desired medical program.

How do I go about taking an American Heart Association® course through MasterTrain?

MasterTrain provides a unique portal to the American Heart Association® eLearning website, which will be accessible via the red AHA heart logo throughout the MasterTrain website as soon as we go live.

When you click on this heart, you will be able to purchase and take one of the many AHA courses online, at your own pace. Once you’ve completed the online requirements, you will be directed back to MasterTrain in order to schedule an appointment to complete your Certification.

I’m having trouble accessing the MasterTrain videos. What’s wrong?

I live out of state and want to bring my children when I take my course. How can my kids have fun while we’re there?

San Antonio has a plethora of activities, historic sites, and amusement parks available. We’ve provided an extensive San Antonio, TX Attractions list, complete with links to each attraction. By the way, the Comfort Inn Suites, across the street from MasterTrain, has a pool!

Absolutely. Simply call our MasterTrain Office Manager, Jennifer Shannon,  to arrange accommodations! Additionally, if you will be requiring a hotel room, Comfort Inn Suites, located directly across the street from our MasterTrain headquarters, is wheelchair accessible.

I’d like to reserve a hotel close to MasterTrain. Can you recommend something close?

Absolutely! The Comfort Inn Suites is conveniently located directly across the street from MasterTrain! Our students receive a special rate, which is applied to your stay ONLY if you make your reservation by phone and mention that you are a MasterTrain student. Their direct number is: (210) 249-2000. As an added bonus, they provide a shuttle service between the hotel and the airport between the hours of 6AM and 10PM. Oh…and they're wireless!

Are there any restaurants close to MasterTrain?

Yes! Located just next door to MasterTrain, the Magic Time Machine, a "theme" restaurant, offers a variety of standard American fare. You may also want to browse our San Antonio, TX Attractions list for a variety of other thematic dining options!

Are there any attractions I can visit while in San Antonio?

Yes! Our San Antonio, TX Attractions list is filled with every kind of attraction you can imagine: Amusement Parks, Water Parks, Galleries, Theme Restaurants, Historical Sites, and lots, lots more!

I live out of state; do I need to rent a car?

Conveniently, no. We are just minutes from the San Antonio airport, and there is a Comfort Inn Suites conveniently located directly across the street from MasterTrain! Both MasterTrain and the hotel are a mere 5-7 minutes from the airport, and the hotel provides a shuttle service between the hours of 6AM and 10PM. If you want to go exploring in historic San Antonio, taxi cabs and public transportation are readily available.

Is it true you have a SimMan® on site?

Yes! Our coveted MasterTrain SimMan® is the only one of its kind, in the entire World, to be owned by an individual: Our fearless leader, Paul Cash.

Does MasterTrain take Credit Cards?

Yes! All MasterTrain courses may be paid via Cash; Company, Cashier & Personal Checks; Money Orders; and the following major credit cards: Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, or Discover®.
