Basic ECG Overview: This course covers understanding cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, rhythm interpretation of static strips and dynamic rhythm interpretation on a cardiac monitor. Participants learn a simple yet compressive approach to the hands-on skill of rhythm interpretation. Basic ECG Course Hours: 16 Basic ECG Accreditations: There is no accreditation offered for this course. Basic ECG Certification: Course completion certificates are awarded to students who successfully complete the written evaluation and rhythm strip interpretation with a minimum score of 86%. This certificate is presented for successful completion of training in Basic Telemetry Interpretation. This course meets Type II Credit and allows for 14.4 Contact hours as allowed by the Texas board of Nurse Examiners. Basic ECG Prerequisites: There is no prerequisite required for this course. |
